At this point, the movie is done, save for a few visual tweaks. With the help of digital matte artist Kira Hammond, co-producer Christopher Vogan's face is removed from a reflection in a mirror on the set. As well, a visible light stand is digitally removed; and a background is softened for greater effect.

8.23.2005
The TRAILER will debut as part of PCT's Film Night fundraiser on Friday, August 26th. At 100 seconds, the challenge was to entice without revealing much - after all, the running time will be only 18 minutes!

8.19.2005
The running time is now 17:00, including opening credits.

8.10.2005
Editing has commenced! The first pass was 20 minutes, then 19, then 18:31. After a day of break, the running time is 18:00, including 40 seconds of credits at the beginning. Two scenes hit the cutting room floor: the failed relationship montage is gone, as is about thirty seconds on the couch after the opening scene.

All the footage is in the Avid. The performances are great, the shots

Filming on UNWRAPPED has wrapped, pardon the pun. An amazing weekend filled with the requisite challenges, conflicts and drama of a film shoot! But in the end, we shot 70+ different set-ups on four sets.

7.30.2005
One last set-up: the stage at the Sanchez Art Center in which Carly meets Joe. The crew is wrapped, except for Kristina, Steve, Dennis and Amy, who break back into the hotel room to take the "website photos" of Carly. A quick meal at Raymond's Chinese restaurant and everyone's off.

7.29.2005
A minor miracle of a shoot day: We covered everything else, with the exception of the theatre shots. First the opening, shot from a wheelchair (thank you Robert Rodriguez...), the couch, the table, the overheads, the dance, and the finale BEFORE heading over to the Salada Beach Cafe, the oldest building in Pacifica and a coffee house by day. For our purposes, our amazing crew transformed the place into a seedy bar complete with smoke.

7.28.2005
First up, Kristina once again in front of a bathroom mirror, this time with Carly preparing for her final act, and then processing her fight with Joe. The first real scene between Kristina and Paolo will be the revelation scene, which moved from being staged in the living room to the kitchen two weeks prior to shooting. We shoot the energy from may angles, two ways -- meek and feral. This combination will serve us well in editing in crafting a flow. The kitchen scene runs long so we change our plan of attack and decide to shoot all the living room scenes tomorrow. Everything else in (and out) of the house will be shot today. The march out, the hallway, the porch.

7.27.2005
Arrival at Executive Producer Jeff Gracia's house, which will double as Joe's house. The crew begins blocking off the huge picture windows with duvatine and black drapes to simulate night. The table read happens, followed by the first shots, a quick montageof Joe at the computer that will serve as half the bridging sequence between the past scenes and the present. Then the fun begins: The crew (of ten) files into a small hotel room and converts it. Before the end of the night, room 428 will serve as Carly's office, Carly's bedroom, the Spring Break hotel room, and we'll get some shots of Carly and Harry French in the bathroom in front of the mirror. By midnight, we've got 15 shots in the can, 60 more to go.

7.26.2005
Steve Kirk (co-writer/co-director), Paolo Cascardo (Joe) and Kristina Hughes (Carly) arrive from Los Angeles. The crew begins setting up the equipment. Kristina and Dennis Willis (co-writer/co-director) go over Carly's warddrobe.
